12th-15th. Warm to hot, then scattered showers, followed by clearing.
16th-19th. Fair.
20th-23rd. Stormy, turning fair.
24th-27th. Warm to hot, followed by scattered showers and a few thundershowers.
28th-31st. Showery, then fair.
August 2013
1st-3rd. Stormy.
4th-7th. Sultry.
8th-11th. Rain and showers sweep in, quickly followed by improving skies.
12th-15th. Fair and dry.
16th-19th. More fair weather.
20th-23rd. The fair and dry weather continues.
24th-27th. Showers, turning fair and pleasant. Thundershowers, followed by clearing.
28th-31st. Very unsettled.
September 2013
1st-3rd. A hurricane threat for Newfoundland at Labour Day; fair for Labrador.
4th-7th. Scattered showers, then fair.
8th-11th. Hurricane threat along Atlantic Coast (St. Johns, Harbour Grace), otherwise fair and sultry.

Helpful Weather Links
If you notice a hole in the upper left-hand corner of your Farmers' Almanac, don't return it to the store! That hole isn't a defect; it's a part of history. Starting with the first edition of the Farmers' Almanac in 1818, readers used to nail holes into the corners to hang it up in their homes, barns, and outhouses (to provide both reading material and toilet paper). In 1910, the Almanac's publishers began pre-drilling holes in the corners to make it even easier for readers to keep all of that invaluable information (and paper) handy.
